Sarah Portway has over 20 years experience
of external affairs and corporate communications in both the
public and private sectors in Britain and abroad. Before setting
up MABCO Communications (previously known as Aspire Communications)
in 1999, Sarah was Director of Corporate Communications for
Kimberly-Clark Europe, one of the leading global tissue and
personal care products manufacturers.
Prior to joining Kimberly Clark Europe in 1996 Sarah spent
9 years with IBM, culminating in her role as Communications
and Corporate Affairs Director for IBM United Kingdom Ltd.
She joined IBM after working as Special Advisor to a cabinet
Minister in the Australian National Government.
Throughout her career Sarah has hand first
had experience of handling situations such as - corporate
restructuring, product recalls, serious accidents at work,
environmental leakage, activist campaigns, fires and explosions,
regulatory issues, redundancy programmes, litigation, whistle
blowing, hostile take-overs, mergers and acquisitions, corporate
espionage, product safety issues, industrial disputes.
